Greengage arboriculture & ecology specialises in all aspects of arboriculture covering the survey, protection and management of trees and woodlands.

Our services include:

Tree Survey and Inspection

Greengage carries out tree surveys and inspections to inform the management of both urban and rural trees.  

We have full capability in GIS and we utilise sub-metre accuracy GPS for the mapping of trees.  

For larger sites, we are able to produce Arboricultural Management Strategies which provide a programme for tree inspection and works. These strategies are based on a strategic risk assessment that considers site use and resources.

We carry out detailed Tree Risk Assessments, including internal decay mapping and climbed inspections of potential defects above ground level.

Trees and Development
 

Greengage provides a wide range of services in relation to trees and development, all to BS5837:2005.  

Our services include pre-development Tree Surveys, Arboricultural Implications Assessment and Arboricultural
Method Statements.  

We have a full capability to work in CAD producing Tree Constraints Plans and Tree Protection Plans.

Woodlands & Forestry
 

Greengage provide a breadth of forestry consultancy services relating to farm, amenity and urban woodlands.  

Our services include the production of Woodland Management Plans, Forestry Commission and other grant applications, stakeholder liaison and the provision of associated
ecological surveys.

We are able to design and specify new woodlands and
tree-planting schemes, using CAD.

Environment and Heritage

Greengage has particular experience in the management and protection of trees of environmental and heritage importance.

We carry out a range of surveys and provide advice on parklands, hedgerows and veteran trees.  

Where necessary, this advice is supplemented by survey skills and recommendations from our ecological team.

Contract Management

Greengage is able to procure and supervise works on behalf of our clients.  

This typically involves:
 

●  The production of contract documents (including
   specifications, schedules and agreements for arboricultural
   and forestry works)

●  Tender action to select contractors and

●  The supervision and monitoring of contractors

Expert Witness

Our Principal Arboriculturist provides a range of expert witness services in relation to trees and planning appeals, contract disputes and tree-related risks.
